What kind of smart health home products are there?

Smart health home products come in all shapes and sizes. In these articles we categorize the products and give examples, so that you know what you can expect from it. Also read our article about what a smart health home is exactly.

In a smart health home the future you will find technology in the craziest places, so the bathroom cannot escape. This is already possible with a simple product such as a hand soap pump containing a sensor that knows when a hand needs soap. Another thing with sensors is possible, for example the toilet that will automatically extend when you are finished. You could also raise and lower the glasses with gestures, so that you no longer have to touch them. And if you want to make it crazy: sometimes they also have Bluetooth speakers …

For the shower there are also handy devices, such as a Bluetooth speaker that you can turn in the head of your shower head. Or the shower heads that can show you when the water is warm enough with colorful LED lights (that do not require batteries and work on the movement of the water). Toothbrushes, scales and more daily devices are also becoming smarter by being able to tell us more about our bodies – with which we (possibly) can use them again in terms of food and exercise.

Operation and apps

You can make the word "ministry" very broad in the smart health home. It can be a smart remote control for your television, which can also control your audio equipment (such as the Neeo Universal Remote), but also remotes that allow you to use other devices or even you can control your blinds. There are also apps with which you can control your entire smart health home and specific applications for a specific product (which you get a lot with Apple HomeKit see). It is even being worked on a holographic assistant. There are also central hubs in TVs present.

Image, sound and health home network

In the house of the future, the role of television can become as big as the role of the smartphone or tablet. Because whether you control the devices in the house or look at the statistics of a device on a television or a smartphone screen, it does not matter for the house itself. It is just what you prefer: operating a large screen with a remote control or operating a smaller screen with your finger. As you could already read above, Samsung at least intends to make TV the central point of the smart health home.

One of the biggest advantages of the smart health home is the insight into your energy consumption. There are already thermostats that can show where things are going wrong and where things are going well and in the future that information will only become more specific. The intention is also that all appliances in the house use energy more and more efficiently. Nevertheless, it can be useful to keep an eye on the news around solar panels, since it not only provides your house with energy, but also with a tremendous amount of energy.

By household appliances we mean the appliances that we use daily or weekly in the health home. This is possible, for example a smart vacuum cleaner that can be controlled from a distance. But also stuff for that in the kitchen, such as ovens and refrigerators (and for some people also washing machines). Even coffee makers, kettles and pans are nowadays provided with a smart label, as you can read in our database. These devices can become one of the biggest investments for the smart house, because the category is so wide.

Sensors and safety

Sensors will be the next major cost item. You can place them anywhere in your health home with all kinds of different goals. For example, your garage door can open automatically when you arrive, a door can be unlocked when you stand in front of it, or the light can go on when you walk into a room. But the sensors are of course also useful to outwit thieves by placing motion sensors that can measure movements at times when that usually doesn't happen (at night) or when you're gone.

Bedroom and lighting

Smart health home products that you find in the bedroom will include lamps, curtains and personal assistants. You can control curtains and such from an app with your voice or via a touchscreen, from your smartphone. The same applies to your lamps. The personal assistant can help you set an alarm clock, tell the time and play music for example – and when that assistant is completely smart, he can do much more (such as ordering food or perhaps closing the curtains and to open).

Such a smart assistant can be the Amazon Echo, for example. In addition to the examples above, the Echo can also operate your lamps and even make a shopping list. Other smart health home products that you can find in the bedroom are smart mattresses (which can provide insight into how you sleep with all kinds of sensors) or devices that both help you fall asleep (with some background noise and red colors) and help you wake up (with other colors and soft, pleasant sounds in the background).

<h2>Garden and Patio</h2>
<p>Not only can your house be made smarter, your garden can also use some automation. For example, you can install a system that tells you how much water your plants still need, based on, for example, the weather forecast, and knows when the soil is too dry. The system can also ensure that the sprinklers in the garden are automatically switched on when the soil is too dry and does not switch on when it has rained all day, for example. This gives you more time to enjoy your beautiful, flowering garden.</p>
